I am in need of a 3 year chip for our group leader, and kind of need it quick. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Kathy

Don't know where you live but around here on Long Island there is a local or tow stores that carry chips.
Albeit more so AA and NA

Possible you could give her your three year chip and someone else that has the chip then replace hers. or his.

I always pass my chips around.

My regular Sunday meeting amazed me a couple weeks ago. Our guest speaker was a woman with twenty-something years (I can't count that high). Our chip guy took no more than a few seconds to produce the correct Mark of Sobriety. We use the classic organizational method: one of those plastic fishing-tackle boxes with all the small sections. I took a peek and it turns out that we stock two of everything up through thirty years.

When we had multiple ten-year takers, one of them got two five-year chips.

There is a custom that many follow; their Seventh Tradition donation is equal to their years. Sobriety birthdays can get expensive. On the other hand, how much do people pay for an eighth these days?

Our last donation to the District - we send them all of our funds after rent, donuts and prudent reserve - was in triple digits...but only just. Our GSR will return to today's meeting with replacement chips. If you will be in SoCal when you celebrate your next birthday, please stop in. Not only will we have the perfect chip for you (even if you arrive unannounced), you'll get a donut with a candle and a rousing rendition of the Happy Birthday song, 12 Step style.

Fellowship is more treasured than chips, so if all you do is sing and clap at the birthday meeting, you can do it all over again when the right chip is procurred. Everyone will enjoy it and you can trust me on that.

All the best.

There is a website called "sunlight of the spirit" that sells chips for MA. You can find info for it within the MA website, takes a while but it's in there somewhere.
