Greetings from New York MA - District 8 !
On behalf of MA Convention
2011, we'd like to extend this request for your service at the meetings you
attend. Simply print out this email (as many copies as the meetings you attend)
and can make the MA-related announcements. The script is below. THANK YOU FOR
SPREADING THE WORD!
(I also attached some docs that you may want to print
for those who want more info BUT do not have access to internet. Docs: Save
the Date Flier, Registration Form, Raffle Flier, Workshop/Mtg Topic Submission,
Convention Service Flier, and Monthly Pledge Letter.)
The basic idea
can be conveyed by asking folks to Google "MA District 8" or "MA New York" to
get all the info on MA Convention 2011.
But if you can make the
official announcement, thank you for your service! Here's the
script:
"District 8 (NY and Philly area) is hosting MA Convention 2011
Feb 18-20, 2011.
Register now for $45, $55 as of December, or $60 on the day
of the event. Go online or look for registration form in November's A New Leaf,
too.
Raffle tickets are available. $15 per ticket supports the
convention's fund raising efforts. 3rd prize is a free convention registration.
2nd prize is free registration and banquet. 1st prize is the complete package:
free registration, free banquet, AND free hotel stay Fri & Sat night!
Winners will be drawn at District 8's Holiday Party on December 11th. October's
A New Leaf has a ticket you can mail in, too.
Volunteer or nominate
someone to speak at the convention. Send your recommendations (testimonials help
too) to 2011convention@ma-newyork.org . Voting by District 8 will
take place on Dec 3rd.
You can also volunteer to do service during the
convention. Email 2011convention@ma-newyork.org to volunteer.
Submit
ideas for convention workshops or meeting topics by emailing 2011convention@ma-newyork.org to request a workshop
submission. Deadline is January 10th.
More details on the above, how to
get there, as well as finding out how to pledge a one-time or monthly dollar
contribution to support the convention's fund raising efforts can be found on ma-newyork.org, BUT you can
simply Google "MA District 8" or "MA New York" and you'll find the site with all
of this information.
