If I could smoke pot like a normal person, I would do it every day.

Some of my favorites:

-Awareness, acceptance, action.

-Keep It Simple

-Let go and let God.

-If it's hysterical, it's historical.

-When you're feeling complacent, come place your ass in the seat next to me.

From MAWS Slogans Motion 2009 (of which none were approved by MAWS):

  • Waking Up with Gratitude.
  • More Acceptance.
  • More Actions!
  • We Recover.
  • There is Hope.
  • Talk Before You Toke.
  • Higher Powered.
  • Show Up, Listen, and Tell the Truth.
  • A Work in Progress.
  • We Can Choose Freedom Today.
Others I have heard & like:
  • MA Is Not For People That Need It, But For People That Want It.
  • If your ass falls off, pick it up and take it with you to a meeting.
  • Fear - False Evidence Appearing Real
  • Fear - F**K Everything and Run!
  • Fine - F**ked up, Insecure, Neurotic, Emotional.
  • Before recovery, I was living in a pothole.
  • I love my MA and my MA loves me.
  • Your real teachers are your mistakes.
  • Being too self-reliant makes me lonely.
  • When we got busy, we got better.
  • Before I speak, I ask 'Is it kind, is it helpful, is it true, am I the correct person to say this?"
  • It's a perfect program run by imperfect people.
  • One hand in my sponsor's hand, the other in my sponsee's hand, and together we can get through this.
Humorous note: At MAWS 2009, research from previous meetings offered that one MAWS approved slogan (not a joke) is:
  • Marijuana -- a stupid, do nothing drug.
(I may be misquoting that one -- but it's pretty close!)

I am greatful for my sponsor and my recovery time.
I know if I start to use again, I will go back to where I once was.
I do not want to relive that misery again.

If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Pot was my hammer. On this Thanksgiving day (USA), I'm grateful to MA and its members for helping me find the right tools to use to build my future.

One thing I know, is that I don't know, you know?

One Day at a time....

If you go into a barber shop, you will more than likely get a haircut.

Why pray if you are going to worry, why worry if you can pray?

Bless them, change me.

One quote I don't like and not sure why the old timers came up with it is, "Think, Think, Think."
